This Is Me 2018.

♥ ♥ ♥

Hi again. Today I'm really excited to share this blog post with you as it will be based on somewhat of my  adventures and experiences that I have had in my life so far . I'll be sharing some of my personal background, goals and what I would like to do with this blog in the future.

My background:

I was born and raised in the sunny South Africa for 17 years, recently I moved to a brand new breathtaking environment, New Zealand. It was very difficult leaving everything and everyone I know behind, but I told myself to stay strong and that good times are still coming. I have a happily married mother and father which have four children. My brother and sisters are triplets, they are two years younger than I am, leaving me to be the eldest child. All my friends are back in South Africa but I am currently making and meeting new extraordinary people here in New Zealand. Most of my family are also currently in SA, except for one of my Aunt's. Her and her family were the first family members to move to New Zealand about, plus minus, a year ago. I have a sweet and loving boyfriend in SA whom I have been with since 2016, he has been with me through the good and bad. We are currently in a long distance relationship because of me moving and, so far, we both are trying our best to make the best out of our current situation.

My goals in life:

Many people strive for success in their future and that is logical but it is not my main life goal. Yes, I would like to be very successful in my future career, be able to provide basic needs and somewhat of luxuries for my family one day but my main goals are to spread love, joy and hope to others who need it the most. These are my life goals because I love to help people in every possible way I can. I believe that no one can ever have too much happiness, love and hope. The world needs more kindness, peace and love from everyone who can possibly give it.

What I would like to do with this blog in the future:

I started this blog so that I could help people facing challenges and voice my opinion on different situations. Therefore in the future I would like to help more people with everyday struggles to relief a little bit of stress from their daily life, to make people smile and inspire others to be the best version of them-self that they possibly can be. I would like to help others in general. I want to make my blog into something that I'm going to be happy with and love so that hopefully all you guys will be happy and love it too. I also hope it inspires others in every way it possibly can.

I wrote this post determined that it would give you a brief idea of my life and who I. I also felt like it would help me and my audience, you, to get closer to one another and become great friends in our own small community.

Love Char.

How To Become More Self-Motivated...

♥ ♥ ♥

If you are telling yourself that you can do a task tomorrow but never actually get around to it because it seems too difficult, involves a lot of hard work and a lot of your time that you would rather spend on either binge watching your favorite series on Netflix or going through your Facebook, Twitter or your Instagram accounts. This may be because you feel UNMOTIVATED.

Yes, I understand everyone has their days where they just do not feel like getting out of bed or doing anything in that matter, but surely this is not how you should be living your life everyday.
I recently asked people on Instagram if they struggle with self-motivation and 76 percent of them said yes.

So lets first start with what is self-motivation? Self-motivation is basically the ability to do something without the any influence from others but yourself. Now for the big question:
"HOW CAN I BE MORE SELF-MOTIVATED?"

  • You should first realize that becoming more motivated takes time like everything else. "Good things take time."
  • Even when everything seems like it is going downhill the only thing you can do is to try your best to be positive.
  • Anyone and everyone can do amazing things if you set your mind to it and never give up.
  • Remind yourself that it is okay to have off days, do not bring yourself down when you feel unmotivated and do not focus on the past build your future in the present.

Things I do to help keep me self-motivated is...:

♥ INSPIRATION.
Google has many inspirational quotes. I simply type in "Inspirational Quotes Tumblr" then I go to the images, these quotes are not just inspirational but they also look amazing.
*TIP* You can screenshot a quote that you really like to make it your wallpaper to remind yourself to stay motivated and positive.

♥ COMPANY.
I try and stay around people who keep motivating me and do not bring me down by saying things that discourage me. If the people you hang out with discourage you make sure you either find new friends or have people that do encourage you to do good things and that you can trust.

♥ STAY POSITIVE.
This may be difficult based on your mood. If you are feeling down,  that everything in your life "sucks" and is not going as  you planned then just make time for yourself. What I do is either meditate for awhile, color in or grab a book that calms me down.

Before going to bed write down things that you are grateful for, a quote or a motivational note to yourself. This helps on bad days as you can go back and read what you were grateful for, this personally helps me to boost the positivity in my life.

♥ FINISH TO GET THE REWARD.
I'm obsessed with to do lists, the thought of me ticking off a task that had to be done makes me feel so fulfilled. I love lists so much that I sometimes have a list of to-do lists that I make. Make a to-do list every morning while you are having a cup of coffee or tea, this will help you clear your mind, focus on important tasks and make yourself aware of how active you should be for that day. At the end of the week you should reward yourself with something small just to keep you motivated and on the right track.

♥  BABY STEPS.
Every morning before I make my to-do list i write down 1-3 small goals for myself to complete that day. These goals should be realistic, small and help you feel better about yourself in that moment such as exercise for at least 30 minutes, smile at a random stranger or even tell yourself good things which will help build your self-esteem.

I hope everything that you have to do gradually gets done and I would like to wish you the best of luck with any projects or upcoming events that are or will be happening in your life. Remember that you are always welcome to tell me what you are thinking or struggle with by commenting down below or contacting me in another way. My contact details are in my contact/PR page so make sure you check that out.

Believe in yourself, and the rest will fall into place. Have faith in your own abilities, work hard, and there is nothing you cannot accomplish.
